We believe filmmakers need more than resources to create. They need a real platform to screen and air what they’ve made. SOFO TV™ exists to close that loop: funding, community, and a reliable place for premieres and public viewing.

About the film
THE LAKE THAT BUILT A TOWN is a short film created and directed by Kerri Parker. It premiered on SOFO TV™, our public programming channel built to give independent filmmakers not only resources to create, but a real platform to premiere and share their work with the wider community.
Regional Focus
This program is produced and released for audiences within the Suncoast region, with primary community relevance to Northwest Florida and the communities we serve.
Original Release and Availability
Aired on SOFO TV™ (Public Streaming Premiere): January 13, 2026 at 6:00 PM CT
Public viewing window: The full film was publicly available to stream on SOFO TV™ from January 13, 2026 through January 20, 2026. A private in-person screening celebration was held on January 13, 2026 in conjunction with the SOFO TV™ public premiere.
Current status: The public viewing window has closed and the SOFO TV player now features the official trailer. The full film will be shown going forward through limited private screening events during 2026.
